The Awesome Goblin Tool

One of the challenges people with ADHD face is having so much we need to do that we don't know where to even start. Often, even when we do get going, we get pulled off track by some loose end or distraction left over from a prior chaotic day.
Tomorrow is Wednesday; every other Wednesday is recycling collections. I pretty much check my neighbors to see if this is the week, and making sure that my cardboard, plastic and glass should be simple.
It isn't. I have too much going on with work, kids, household, car, pets, and writing. The lines between urgent and important blur, and hence my garage has more than its share of recycling refuse.
Let's add Thanksgiving coming up, the aftershocks of Halloween, finishing my overextended tax return, and my youngest son's college visits and it is easy to go blue screen.
Goblin.tools is a big help. It gives you a simple place to start. You simply log on (it's free), type in the task you need to complete, and the level of granularity you need, then it spits out the steps to take. You can re-order the steps if need be, and while it's not perfect, its bloody close enough to make a difference.
There's also an app you can use on your phone. It has a free version and a $1.99 download. I sprung for the 2 bucks.
I love this thing. If you have ADHD you'll see what I mean after a few uses.
